As a Security Officer - Armed Medical Shelter Patrol in San Antonio, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Shelter and more .

As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a critical role in supporting a secure environment at a shelter location. Your responsibilities will include conducting regular armed patrols throughout the premises, maintaining a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents, and responding promptly to various situations as they arise. You will interact with staff, residents, and visitors, providing exceptional customer service and clear communication while upholding the highest standards of professionalism. Job Schedule:

What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and promote a secure environment.
• Monitor and report any unusual activity or potential threats in and around the location.
• Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential issues and offer assistance to individuals as needed.
• Work closely with Allied Universal management and local staff to address security-related concerns specific to the location.
• Remain alert and prepared to respond to any situation requiring armed intervention, in accordance with established protocols.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 3 years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience, or possess a college degree.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR certification and/or first aid certification are preferred.
• Experience with handcuffs, pepper spray, and/or baton is preferred.
• Must be 21 years of age. 
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
