As a Security Guard - Mall Patrol Unarmed in Santa Clara, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls and more .

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in helping to maintain a secure and welcoming environment at a vibrant retail and mall location. Your responsibilities will include conducting regular patrols throughout the property, being highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and offering outstanding customer service to visitors and tenants. You will be the first point of contact for those needing assistance, using your communication skills to address concerns and provide guidance. Job Schedule:

What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner within the retail or mall environment.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail or mall location, including the business and perimeter areas.
• Observe for suspicious activity and report any security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel.
• Assist with access control and help to deter unauthorized entry into restricted areas.
• Document incidents and maintain accurate records of security-related activities as required by site policies.
• Support Allied Universal management and site staff during emergencies and/or special situations.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• A valid guard card or security license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
