As a Security Officer with Allied Universal in a utility environment, you will play a crucial role in access control, helping to deter unauthorized entry and supporting a secure atmosphere for employees, visitors, and property. Your responsibilities will include monitoring entrances and exits, verifying credentials, and conducting routine patrols within the assigned location to help prevent security-related incidents. Job Schedule:

What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Assist with access control procedures at utility locations by verifying credentials and monitoring entry and exit points.
• Provide customer service to clients by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity.
• Monitor and report any irregularities, such as equipment or property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences.
• Document all activities and incidents in accordance with Allied Universal and client protocols.
• Collaborate with client personnel and emergency responders as needed during incidents or drills.
• Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential security-related risks at the location.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• A Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
