As a Security Officer - Healthcare Patrols in Gaithersburg, MD, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare and more .

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal in a healthcare setting, you will play a key role in supporting a secure and welcoming environment for staff, patients, and visitors. Your primary responsibilities will include conducting routine patrols throughout the location, maintaining a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and responding promptly to any situations as they arise. You will also interact with individuals in a professional and courteous manner, providing exceptional customer service while upholding the highest standards of integrity and teamwork. Pay Rate: $23.75 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and supporting emergency response activities as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the healthcare facility and around its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity.
• Observe and report any unusual activity or security-related concerns within the location to the appropriate personnel.
• Assist with access control by monitoring entry and exit points, verifying credentials, and supporting visitor management protocols.
• Communicate and collaborate with healthcare staff to address security-related needs and provide assistance as required.

• A desire to gain broad experience and grow within the company
• Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A valid Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Access control or badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
