As a Security Officer Access Control Patrol in Palmyra, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Residential and more .

As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in helping to maintain a secure environment within a residential community. Your responsibilities will include monitoring entry and exit points, conducting routine patrols throughout the property, and being a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. Job Schedule:

What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to residents, guests, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor and control access to the residential location, verifying credentials and granting entry to authorized individuals.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the residential property and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Observe and report any suspicious activities or security-related incidents to Allied Universal management and/or local law enforcement as directed.
• Maintain accurate records of access control activities, incidents, and daily operations as required by site-specific guidelines.
• Collaborate with residents, property management, and Allied Universal team members to support a secure and welcoming environment.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
