As a Security Officer - Distribution Site - Morning Shift in Gaithersburg, MD, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution and more .

As a Screener in a logistics and distribution setting, you will play a vital role in helping to maintain a secure and welcoming environment for everyone on site. Your daily responsibilities will include monitoring and patrolling designated areas, conducting routine patrols to help to deter potential security-related incidents, and being a visible presence throughout the location. You will interact with visitors, staff, and vendors, providing outstanding customer service and clear communication. Job Schedule:

What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Conduct screening of individuals, vehicles, and/or packages entering and exiting the logistics and distribution location to help to deter unauthorized access and prohibited items.
• Follow site-specific policies and procedures related to access control and screening processes.
• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and delivery personnel by communicating security-related procedures and offering assistance as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating issues according to established protocols.
• Maintain accurate records of screening activities, incidents, and observations as required by Allied Universal and the client site.
• Collaborate with other Allied Universal personnel and site staff to support security-related operations within the logistics and distribution environment.
• Remain alert and attentive while performing screening duties, adapting to changing conditions and requirements at the location.

Minimum Requirements:

• A Security Professional Guard Card is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
