Allied Universal® is hiring a Custom Protection Officer (CPO) Admin Flex Officer. The Custom Protection Officer Flex Officer will conduct armed and/or unarmed foot and/or vehicle patrol (interior and/or exterior). Additional duties include control access and egress; monitor CCTV and alarm systems; compose reports; deter criminal activity and misconduct. The Custom Protection Flex Officer will work at various assignments and may be called upon to work irregular shifts at times with little to no advance notice.

Position Overview

Full Time Positions 1am - Midnight / Multiple Shifts Open Availability to include Weekends
A Flex Security Officer provides security coverage at multiple sites as needed. This role requires flexibility in schedule, adaptability to different environments, and the ability to quickly learn and follow site-specific procedures. Flex Officers are often used to fill in for call-outs, vacations, or special assignments.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide security coverage at various assigned client locations.
Patrol premises on foot or vehicle to prevent and detect signs of intrusion or unsafe conditions.
Monitor access control points, verify identification, and authorize entry of employees, visitors, and vehicles.
Respond promptly to alarms, incidents, and emergencies, following established protocols.
Write detailed daily activity reports and incident reports.
Enforce site rules, regulations, and client policies consistently and professionally.
Provide excellent customer service while maintaining a strong security presence.
Maintain radio and communication protocols with supervisors and dispatch.
Assist law enforcement or emergency personnel when required.
Adapt quickly to different site post orders and security procedures.
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
Valid security license or guard card (if required by state law).
Must have reliable transportation to travel to different sites.
Flexible schedule – availability for days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
Strong communication and observation skills.
Ability to stand, walk, or patrol for extended periods.
Professional appearance and demeanor.
Prior security, law enforcement, or military experience preferred but not required.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform security patrols of designated areas on foot or in vehicle
- Watch for irregular or unusual conditions that may create security concerns or safety hazards
- Sound alarms or calls police or fire department in case of fire or presence of unauthorized persons
- Warn violators of rule infractions, such as loitering, smoking, or carrying forbidden articles
- Permit authorized persons to enter property and monitors entrances and exits
- Observe departing personnel to protect against theft of company property and ensures that authorized removal of property is conducted within appropriate client requirements
- Investigate and prepare reports on accidents, incidents, and suspicious activities; maintain written logs as required by the post
- Aid customers, employees, and visitors in a courteous and professional manner
- Make emergency notifications as necessary pursuant to site Post Orders
- Make productivity and cost reduction recommendations to management
- Make recommendations for physical security surveys and post orders
QUALIFICATIONS (MUST HAVE):
- Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent
- Must possess one or more of the following
- Service in Military Occupational Specialty related to law enforcement, security (such as Military Police, Elite Military Forces, combat arms) or any support role in a Combat Zone
- Graduate of a Certified Public Safety Academy (military or civilian) or verified work experience in the law enforcement, adult corrections, or firefighter field
- Bachelor’s degree in law enforcement or criminal justice related studies
- A minimum of 8 or more years of service in any military branch
- Associate’s degree (or 60 credits) or higher in law enforcement or criminal justice with current or prior active military service
- Be at least 18 years of age, or higher if required by the state (21 years, if armed)
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
