As a Security Professional - Unarmed Post - Access Control in Point Comfort, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical and more .

As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a leading chemical and petrochemical location, you will play a critical role in maintaining a secure environment for all personnel and visitors. Your responsibilities will include monitoring entry and exit points, verifying credentials, and conducting routine patrols throughout the assigned areas. By remaining visible and approachable, you will help to deter security-related incidents and provide support as needed. What You’ll Do:

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

  • Control access to the location by verifying credentials of employees, visitors, and contractors in accordance with site-specific policies and procedures.
  • Monitor entry and exit points to help to deter unauthorized access and/or activities within the chemical and petrochemical facility.
  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures and responding to inquiries in a professional manner.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols for chemical and petrochemical environments.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter to observe and report any unusual activity or potential hazards.
  • Operate and monitor surveillance equipment and/or alarm systems as required by the site.
  • Maintain clear and accurate logs and reports of access control activities, incidents, and observations.
  • Collaborate with site personnel and emergency responders as needed during emergency response activities.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Possess a valid Transportation Worker Identification Credential issued by the TSA.
  • A state, county, or city issued security-related license is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
