As a Security Professional - Dispatch Desk in Wilmington, DE, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical and more .

As a Dispatch Officer with Allied Universal at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will play a crucial role in maintaining a secure environment by coordinating responses and supporting operational needs. Your primary responsibilities will include monitoring communications, dispatching security-related personnel, and providing clear and timely information to both team members and site visitors. You will help to deter incidents through your attention to detail and prompt response to various situations, all while demonstrating exceptional customer service and communication skills. Pay Rate: $27.04 / Hour

Mon05:00 AM - 05:00 PM
Tue05:00 AM - 05:00 PM

What You’ll Do:

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and operate communication equipment to coordinate responses to incidents and requests for assistance within the chemical and petrochemical location.
  • Document and maintain detailed logs of all incoming and outgoing communications, incidents, and activities as required by site-specific policies.
  • Assist in managing emergency response activities by dispatching appropriate personnel and resources as situations arise.
  • Provide customer service by responding to inquiries and relaying information to clients, visitors, and Allied Universal staff.
  • Help to deter unauthorized activities by maintaining constant awareness of site operations through surveillance systems and communication channels.
  • Support Allied Universal and client site personnel by relaying critical information in a calm, problem-solving manner during routine operations and critical situations.
  • Follow all site-specific procedures and protocols related to security-related operations and emergency response within the location.

  • Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must have at least 2 years of security-related experience, or at least 1 year of law enforcement experience, or at least 2 years of security supervisor or manager experience, or at least 3 years of security-related experience.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
