As a Security Officer - Armed Flex Patrols in Greenville, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense and more .

As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will be an integral part of a dedicated team providing security-related services at a leading aerospace and defense location. In this role, you will conduct regular patrols of the premises, maintaining a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents and provide reassurance to those on site. Your responsibilities will include monitoring access points, verifying credentials, and interacting with employees and visitors to deliver exceptional customer service. This post requires both an armed guard card and a valid driver's license, as you may be required to operate a vehicle while patrolling the property. What You’ll Do:

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

  • Provide customer service to clients by performing security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities and identify potential concerns.
  • Carry and maintain proficiency with assigned firearms and/or other defensive equipment in accordance with company and site guidelines.
  • Monitor access points and verify credentials of individuals entering restricted areas to help to deter unauthorized entry.
  • Document and report any unusual activity, incidents, or security-related concerns according to Allied Universal protocols.
  • Collaborate with site personnel and local law enforcement as required during incidents or emergencies.
  • Participate in ongoing training and drills to remain prepared for a variety of security-related scenarios relevant to the aerospace and defense environment.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Possess at least one year of experience in armed security-related, law enforcement, or military roles.
  • Hold a valid armed guard card or license as required by applicable laws and regulations.
  • Possess access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Have prior customer service experience is preferred.
  • Possess a valid driver’s license in compliance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements for driving positions.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
