As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol in Lynchburg, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial and more .

As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a vital role in helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a secure environment at a manufacturing and industrial location. You will conduct regular patrols throughout the premises, maintaining a visible presence to help discourage unauthorized activities and provide reassurance to employees and visitors. This armed position requires you to respond promptly to incidents, communicate clearly with team members, and deliver exceptional customer service in every interaction. Job Schedule:

What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and responding appropriately during emergencies.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining a professional presence.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the manufacturing and industrial location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor for unusual activity and/or security-related hazards within the facility and report any observations according to established protocols.
• Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential issues and provide assistance to employees, visitors, and contractors as needed.
• Interact with law enforcement or emergency personnel as required, following company and site-specific protocols.
• Complete required documentation and incident reports in a timely and accurate manner.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must be a graduate of a law enforcement or military police training program or possess an equivalent qualification.
• Must possess a valid armed guard card or license.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Baton certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
