Job Description


As a Security Officer – Shopping Mall in Union Gap, WA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls and more .

As an unarmed patrol officer with Allied Universal at a retail and mall location, you will play a key role in helping to create a secure and welcoming environment for visitors, tenants, and staff. Your responsibilities will include conducting routine patrols throughout the property, maintaining a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents, and offering exceptional customer service and communication. This post is a driving position, so a valid driver's license is required as you will be responsible for patrolling designated areas by vehicle. What You’ll Do:

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as responding to emergencies when needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining a professional presence at the location.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail or mall environment and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and report any irregularities.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and common areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and provide assistance to patrons as needed.
  • Document and report any incidents, security-related concerns, or maintenance issues observed during patrols.
  • Work collaboratively with Allied Universal team members, site staff, and local authorities as required.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver’s license is required for positions that involve driving responsibilities, in accordance with Allied Universal Driver Policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
