As a Security Guard - Logistics Site - Unarmed Post in Tampa, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution and more .

As a Patrol Unarmed Security Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in helping to maintain a secure environment at a logistics and distribution location. Your responsibilities will include conducting routine patrols throughout the premises, maintaining a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents, and providing exceptional customer service to all personnel and visitors. This position requires you to drive as part of your patrol duties, so a valid driver's license in the job state is necessary. What You’ll Do:

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as responding appropriately to emergencies when needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, supporting the needs of the location.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the logistics and distribution facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
  • Monitor access points and observe activity to help to deter unauthorized entry and/or suspicious behavior within the logistics and distribution environment.
  • Document and report any security-related incidents, hazards, or unusual occurrences encountered during patrols to Allied Universal management and site leadership.
  • Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential issues and provide assistance to employees, visitors, and contractors as needed.
  • Follow all site-specific protocols and instructions provided by Allied Universal and client site leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver’s license in the state in which you are applying is required for driving positions only.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
