As a Security Officer - Retail Site - Full Time in Irvine, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls and more .

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in promoting a secure environment at a retail or mall location. Your main responsibilities include conducting regular patrols throughout the premises, maintaining a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents, and providing outstanding customer service to guests, tenants, and staff. You will be approachable and ready to assist with inquiries or concerns, while also using your communication skills to address situations as they arise. This position requires you to drive as part of your duties, so a valid driver's license is necessary. Job Schedule:

What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and when appropriate, supporting emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, assisting with maintaining order within the location.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail or mall environment and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Observe and report any unusual or suspicious activity, hazards, or maintenance needs encountered during patrols within the location.
• Work collaboratively with Allied Universal team members and on-site contacts to address security-related matters as they arise.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Experience in customer service is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions, and must meet Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
