As a Security Officer Dispatch Specialist in Irvine, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education and more .

As a Dispatch Officer with Allied Universal at an educational location, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining a secure environment for students, staff, and visitors. Your responsibilities will include monitoring alarm panels, managing access control systems, and coordinating responses to security-related incidents. You will be the central point of communication, utilizing computer or tablet systems to track and relay important information, while providing exceptional customer service to everyone on site. By remaining alert and responsive, you will help to deter potential incidents and support a positive atmosphere conducive to learning. Job Schedule:

What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Monitor and respond to incoming communications, including calls and radio traffic, to coordinate security-related activities at the education location.
• Dispatch security personnel as needed in response to incidents, emergencies, or requests for assistance.
• Maintain accurate logs and records of all dispatch activities, incidents, and communications throughout the shift.
• Relay critical information between on-site personnel, management, and emergency services as required.
• Assist in implementing site-specific policies and procedures related to security-related dispatch operations.
• Provide customer service by addressing inquiries and concerns from staff, students, and visitors in a professional manner.
• Support emergency response activities by coordinating resources and communicating updates to relevant parties.
• Remain alert to potential security-related issues or suspicious activities, and report observations according to established protocols.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Experience with access control and/or badge systems is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
