As a Security Officer - Retail Site - Evening Shift in Sherman Oaks, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls and more .

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal in a retail and mall environment, you will play a key role in helping to deter security-related incidents by conducting routine patrols throughout the location. Your visible presence will help foster a welcoming atmosphere for customers and staff, while you remain alert to any unusual activity. You will be responsible for monitoring assigned areas, responding promptly to situations as they arise, and providing clear communication and exceptional customer service. Job Schedule:

What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities and observe for any irregularities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, communicating with management and/or emergency services as needed.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and other access points to help to deter unauthorized entry and report any suspicious activity.
• Document and report security-related incidents, hazards, and maintenance issues observed during patrols.
• Assist with crowd management and help to deter disturbances within the retail environment.
• Support Allied Universal management with site-specific tasks and additional responsibilities as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid Guard Card is preferred.
• Applicants who are comfortable using a computer or tablet are preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
