As a Security Officer - Healthcare Patrol Shift in Columbia, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare and more .

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal in a healthcare location, you will play a key role in maintaining a secure environment by conducting routine patrols throughout the facility. Your presence will help to deter security-related incidents and provide reassurance to staff, patients, and visitors. You will be responsible for monitoring assigned areas, responding to incidents as needed, and delivering exceptional customer service through clear communication and a helpful attitude. This position requires you to be a visible representative of Allied Universal’s values—demonstrating reliability, agility, and a people-first approach every day. As this is a driving post, a valid driver's license in the job state is required. What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients, patients, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies in a healthcare environment.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and guidelines.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security-related concerns.
• Observe and report any unusual activities, security-related hazards, or emergencies to the appropriate personnel.
• Assist with access control by monitoring entrances, exits, and visitor flow within the location.
• Support emergency response activities as directed, including assisting with evacuations or lockdowns when appropriate.
• Maintain detailed and accurate records of security-related incidents, patrols, and observations as required by Allied Universal and site-specific policies.

Minimum Requirements:

• Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
• Applicants must provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
• A valid driver’s license in the job state is required for driving positions only.
• Ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
