As a Security Professional - Retail Access Control in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls and more .

As a Patrol Unarmed Security Officer with Allied Universal in a retail environment, you will play a crucial role in maintaining a secure atmosphere for employees, shoppers, and visitors. Your responsibilities will include conducting routine patrols throughout the location, remaining highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and providing outstanding customer service to everyone you encounter. You will be an approachable presence, addressing questions and concerns while upholding the highest standards of professionalism and integrity. Job Schedule:

What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and when appropriate, respond to emergency situations.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, supporting the needs of clients, employees, and visitors.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Observe and report any unusual activity or security-related incidents to the appropriate personnel.
• Maintain a visible presence to help to deter theft, misconduct, or other unwanted activity within the retail environment.
• Assist with access control by monitoring entrances and exits and verifying credentials as required.
• Collaborate with law enforcement or emergency responders when necessary.
• Complete required logs, reports, and documentation in accordance with Allied Universal policies.

Minimum Requirements:

• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• A valid guard card or security license is preferred, subject to state, county, or city regulations.
• Experience with access control or badge systems is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
