As a Security Officer - Front Desk Patrol in HICKORY, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial and more .

As a Front Desk Security Professional with Allied Universal at a leading manufacturing and industrial location, you will be the first point of contact for all visitors, guests, and employees. Your primary responsibilities will include greeting individuals, verifying credentials, managing access control, and monitoring security-related systems to help to deter incidents. You will play a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service, responding promptly to inquiries, and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere. This position requires comfort with computers or tablets for logging activities and managing visitor records. As this is a driving post, a valid driver's license in the job state is required. Pay Rate: $18.03 / Hour

Sat02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
Sun02:00 PM - 10:00 PM

What You’ll Do:

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

  • Greet and assist employees, visitors, and/or contractors in a professional manner at the front desk of the manufacturing and industrial location.
  • Monitor access control, verifying credentials and maintaining visitor logs as required by site-specific policies.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations at the front desk in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established procedures.
  • Communicate with site personnel and Allied Universal management regarding security-related matters or concerns.
  • Support emergency response activities when appropriate, following site-specific protocols.
  • Provide customer service by answering questions, giving directions, and addressing inquiries related to security-related policies and procedures.
  • Observe and report any unusual activity or security-related incidents at the front desk area to the appropriate personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Experience with access control or badge systems is preferred.
  • Experience with alarm panels is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
