As a Security Professional - Chemical Site Unarmed Post in Sulphur, LA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical and more .

As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will play a key role in helping to deter security-related incidents by monitoring entry points and verifying credentials of personnel and visitors. Your responsibilities will include conducting routine patrols of assigned areas, maintaining a visible presence to help to deter unwanted activity, and utilizing access control systems to manage site entry. You will also provide exceptional customer service, communicate clearly with site personnel, and document daily activities. This position requires comfort working in environments with limited on-site facilities and the ability to use a computer or tablet for reporting. As this is a driving post, a valid driver's license in the job state is required. What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Monitor and control access to restricted areas within the chemical and petrochemical location, verifying credentials and maintaining visitor logs.
• Provide customer service by assisting employees, contractors, and visitors with access-related inquiries and procedures.
• Carry out security-related procedures and site-specific policies as directed by Allied Universal and the client site.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and observe for irregularities.
• Document and report any suspicious activity, security-related incidents, or policy violations to the appropriate personnel.
• Assist with emergency response activities as needed, including evacuation support and communication with first responders.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Experience with access control and/or badge systems is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Willingness to work at locations with limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets or rustic guard shacks is preferred.
• A valid driver's license in the job state is required.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
