As a Security Professional - Chemical Site - Unarmed Patrol in Port Arthur, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical and more .

As an Allied Universal Security Professional in an access control role within a chemical and petrochemical environment, you will play a key part in helping to maintain a secure and welcoming atmosphere for all personnel and visitors. Your responsibilities will include monitoring and controlling entry points, conducting routine patrols throughout the location, and remaining highly visible to help deter security-related incidents. You will also be expected to deliver outstanding customer service, engaging with employees and guests to provide information and support as needed. This position requires you to operate in a dynamic industrial setting, where your commitment to teamwork, reliability, and integrity will be valued. As this is a driving post, a valid driver's license that meets Allied Universal driver policy requirements is necessary. Pay Rate: $18.10 / Hour

What You’ll Do:

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and control access to the location to help to deter unauthorized entry or activities.
  • Verify the credentials of individuals entering and exiting the premises in accordance with site-specific policies.
  • Provide customer service by assisting visitors, employees, and contractors with access-related questions and needs.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter to help to deter suspicious activity and/or security-related issues.
  • Document and report any security-related incidents, observations, or concerns to the appropriate Allied Universal personnel and/or client representatives.
  • Assist in emergency response activities as required by site procedures and Allied Universal guidelines.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions and must meet Allied Universal Driver Policy requirements.
  • Possession of a Guard Card or state, county, or city issued security-related license is preferred.
  • Experience with access control or badge systems is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
