As a Security Professional - Access Control - Chemical Site in Port Arthur, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical and more .

As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in supporting a secure environment at a chemical and petrochemical location. Your primary responsibilities will include monitoring entry and exit points, verifying credentials, and conducting routine patrols to help to deter security-related incidents. You will be highly visible and approachable, offering exceptional customer service and clear communication to everyone on site. In this role, your presence and attention to detail will help to maintain order and address any issues as they arise. This position requires a valid driver's license, as you may be tasked with driving responsibilities in support of site operations. Pay Rate: $16.60 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Monitor and control access to the location to help to deter unauthorized entry and maintain security-related protocols.
• Conduct identification and verification of individuals entering or exiting the premises, following site-specific procedures.
• Perform regular and random patrols throughout the property and its perimeter to observe for irregularities or security-related concerns.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following Allied Universal policies and site-specific guidelines.
• Document and report any security-related incidents, hazards, or unusual occurrences to appropriate personnel.
• Provide customer service by assisting visitors, employees, and contractors with security-related inquiries and access procedures.
• Support emergency response activities as required, following established protocols for the location.

Minimum Requirements:

• A minimum of 6 months of security-related experience is required.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions and must meet Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Possession of a state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
• Possession of a guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
