Job Description:

As a Armed Security Officer - Full Time Patrol in San Antonio, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls and more .

As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in helping to deter security-related incidents and fostering a welcoming atmosphere at a dynamic retail location. Your responsibilities will include conducting regular patrols throughout the property, remaining visible to assist guests and employees, and providing exceptional customer service. This position requires you to be armed and to operate a vehicle as part of your patrol duties, making your presence instrumental in responding quickly to situations as they arise. You will engage with the public, address inquiries, and contribute to a positive environment through your professionalism and communication. Job Schedule:

What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergencies as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing proper protocols for an armed patrol post.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and observe for unusual circumstances.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and common areas to help to deter theft, vandalism, and other unwanted activity within the retail environment.
• Document and report security-related incidents, observations, and activities according to Allied Universal and client protocols.
• Engage with store staff and visitors in a professional manner, providing assistance and information as appropriate.
• Remain alert to potential security-related concerns and communicate promptly with management and/or law enforcement when necessary.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Must have a valid Level III Armed Certification for Texas.
• A valid driver’s license that meets Allied Universal driver policy requirements is required for driving positions.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
