As a Security Officer - Petroleum Company in Novi, MI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense and more .

As a Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in maintaining a secure environment within a prominent aerospace and defense location. Your primary responsibilities will include conducting regular patrols of assigned areas, monitoring for any security-related incidents, and assisting with access control to help to deter unauthorized entry. You will remain highly visible to help to deter incidents and provide a reassuring presence to employees and visitors alike. Your communication skills and commitment to exceptional customer service will be essential as you respond to inquiries and work collaboratively with site personnel. Pay Rate: $19.00 / Hour

Tue02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
Fri02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
Sun06:00 AM - 02:00 PM

What You’ll Do:

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

  • Provide customer service to clients by performing security-related procedures and following site-specific policies, including responding appropriately to emergencies when needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities and identify potential concerns; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
  • Observe and report any unusual activity or security-related concerns during patrols, documenting findings as required by Allied Universal and site protocols.
  • Collaborate with other Allied Universal personnel and site contacts to address security-related issues and maintain a secure environment.
  • Remain alert and attentive to surroundings while on duty, adapting to the unique requirements of an aero and defense location.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must be a graduate of a law enforcement or military police training program or equivalent.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Must have at least 5 years of security-related experience.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
