As a Security Officer - Residential Patrol in Flat Rock, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Residential and more .

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in helping to maintain a secure and welcoming environment at a residential community. Your responsibilities will include conducting routine patrols throughout the property, maintaining a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents, and providing outstanding customer service to residents and visitors alike. This is a driving post, so you will be responsible for patrolling the location using a company vehicle, responding promptly to requests for assistance, and documenting any security-related observations. Pay Rate: $17.50 / Hour

What You’ll Do:

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

  • Provide customer service to residents and guests by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the residential community and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Observe and report any suspicious activities or potential hazards within the location.
  • Assist residents and visitors with inquiries and directions as needed.
  • Document and communicate incidents, maintenance concerns, and other relevant information to management and Allied Universal as required.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
  • A valid guard card or license is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • A valid driver’s license is required for positions that are primarily driving and must meet Allied Universal Driver Policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
