Job Description:

As a Security Professional - - Shelter Patrol - Morning Shift in Brooklyn, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Shelter and more .

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in helping to maintain a secure environment within a shelter location. Your responsibilities will include conducting routine patrols throughout the premises, remaining highly visible to help deter security-related incidents, and providing outstanding customer service to all individuals on site. You will be a reassuring presence, responding to situations with professionalism and clear communication. Pay Rate: $18.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within the shelter location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, supporting the needs of the shelter environment.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the shelter and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and maintain a visible presence.
• Observe and report any unusual activity or security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel.
• Assist shelter staff and residents as needed while maintaining professionalism and confidentiality.
• Follow all Allied Universal and site-specific protocols to support a secure and welcoming environment.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
