Job Description:

As a Security Officer - Unarmed Media Patrol - Full Time in Wilson, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom and more .

As a Patrol Unarmed Security Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in supporting a secure environment within a dynamic tech, media, and telecom location. Your responsibilities will include conducting regular patrols of the premises, maintaining a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and providing outstanding customer service to all visitors and staff. By communicating clearly and responding promptly to any situations, you will contribute to a positive experience for everyone at the site. Pay Rate: $18.32 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner to support a secure environment.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the technology-focused facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Observe and report any unusual activity or security-related concerns to appropriate Allied Universal personnel and/or site management.
• Maintain detailed and accurate records of patrols, incidents, and daily activities as required by site protocols.
• Assist with access control by monitoring entrances, verifying credentials, and helping to deter unauthorized entry into restricted areas.
• Collaborate with other Allied Universal team members and site staff to support a secure and welcoming environment for employees and visitors.

Minimum Requirements:

• Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
