As a Security Officer - Retail Patrols Roving in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls and more .

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal in a dynamic retail and mall environment, you will play a key role in helping to deter security-related incidents and creating a welcoming atmosphere for visitors and staff. Your responsibilities will include conducting routine patrols throughout the location, maintaining a visible presence to help discourage unwanted activity, and responding promptly to any security-related concerns or situations. You will interact with the public and store employees, providing exceptional customer service and clear communication while upholding Allied Universal’s values of agility, reliability, and integrity. Job Schedule:

What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential issues.
• Observe and report any suspicious activities or hazards to the appropriate personnel.
• Assist with access control and monitor entrances and exits as needed.
• Work collaboratively with store staff and management to address security-related concerns and support a positive environment for customers and employees.
• Complete required reports and documentation accurately and promptly as part of daily responsibilities.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Experience in loss prevention is preferred.
• Possession of a Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Experience with access control and/or badge systems is preferred.
• Possession of a state, county, or city issued security-related license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
