Your primary responsibilities will include monitoring and patrolling designated areas, helping to deter potential security-related incidents, and providing outstanding customer service to all personnel and visitors. You will remain highly visible throughout your shift, assisting with access control procedures, verifying credentials, and responding promptly to any security-related concerns. This position requires a valid driver's license in the job state, as you may be assigned to posts that involve driving responsibilities. Pay Rate: $14.00 / Hour

What You’ll Do:

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

  • Provide customer service by following security-related procedures and site-specific policies at the location, including responding to emergency situations as needed.
  • Monitor and control access points to help to deter unauthorized entry and maintain a secure environment for personnel and property.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter to observe and report any unusual activity or security-related concerns.
  • Document and report observations, incidents, and/or suspicious activity according to Allied Universal and client procedures.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with visitors, employees, and contractors at the location to provide guidance on security-related matters.
  • Work collaboratively with on-site staff and public emergency services as required during incidents or emergencies.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Possess a valid Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) issued by the Transportation Security Administration (TSA).
  • Possess a valid driver’s license in the state in which you are applying for this position.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
