As a Security Professional Armed Patrol Driver in Los Angeles, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government and more .

As a member of the Allied Universal team, you will play a key role in helping to maintain a secure environment within a government location. In this armed patrol position, you will conduct regular patrols throughout the assigned area, remain highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and respond promptly to any situations that may arise. This role also requires driving responsibilities, allowing you to cover a broader area and support the overall security-related efforts at the site. You will interact with staff and visitors, providing exceptional customer service and clear communication while upholding the values of integrity, teamwork, and reliability that define Allied Universal. What You’ll Do:

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities in a government location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing armed patrol protocols as required by post assignment.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols around the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security-related concerns.
  • Monitor for unusual activity and report observations according to established protocols.
  • Assist visitors, employees, and/or members of the public by providing information and guidance as needed while maintaining a professional presence.
  • Work collaboratively with law enforcement personnel and other staff as required by the site.
  • Maintain awareness of the surroundings and adapt to changing environments or conditions as necessary.

  • Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available

Minimum Requirements:

  • Possess at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Possess an Armed Guard Card or Armed Guard License as required by state and/or local laws and regulations.
  • Possess a valid driver's license and meet Allied Universal Driver Policy requirements for driving positions.
  • Baton certification is preferred.
  • Pepper spray certification is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
