As a Security Officer - Shopping Center - Afternoon Shift in Foothill Ranch, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls and more .

As a valued team member with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in maintaining a secure environment at a dynamic retail and mall location. In this primarily patrol-focused, unarmed role, you will conduct regular patrols throughout the premises, remaining visible to help deter security-related incidents and provide assistance to visitors and tenants. Your exceptional customer service skills and strong communication will be essential as you respond to various situations and interact with the public. This post also involves driving responsibilities, so you will be tasked with operating company vehicles as you monitor the area and support the overall security-related operations. What You’ll Do:

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

  • Provide customer service by following security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as responding to emergencies when appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols inside the retail location and around its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential issues.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner to support a secure environment for visitors, tenants, and staff.
  • Observe and report any unusual activity, property damage, or maintenance needs encountered during patrols.
  • Assist visitors and tenants with directions and general inquiries, maintaining a professional presence at all times.
  • Collaborate with local law enforcement or emergency responders as needed based on incidents at the location.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • A valid driver’s license is required and must meet Allied Universal Driver Policy requirements.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
