As a Security Officer with Allied Universal at a government location, you will observe and monitor assigned areas to help maintain a secure environment for all occupants. Your visible presence and regular rounds will help to deter security-related incidents, while your approachable demeanor will provide reassurance to those you encounter. This unarmed post requires a valid driver's license, as you may be responsible for operating a vehicle as part of your duties. You will be expected to deliver exceptional customer service, communicate clearly and professionally, and respond promptly to any security-related concerns. Pay Rate: $16.00 / Hour

What You’ll Do:

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures and following site-specific policies, as well as responding to emergencies when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the government facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities and identify potential issues.
  • Observe and report any suspicious activities or security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel in accordance with Allied Universal protocols.
  • Assist visitors, employees, and/or contractors with directions and information while maintaining a visible presence.
  • Document all patrols, observations, and incidents in detailed reports as required by site procedures and Allied Universal guidelines.
  • Collaborate with law enforcement and/or emergency responders as needed during incidents or critical events at the location.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver’s license is required for positions involving driving responsibilities.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
