Job Description:

As a Security Professional - Shopping Center - Multiple Shifts in Foothill Ranch, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls and more .

As a Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a bustling retail and mall location, you will play a vital role in creating a welcoming environment for visitors, tenants, and staff. Your primary responsibilities include conducting routine patrols throughout the property, maintaining a highly visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and providing exceptional customer service. You will interact with the public, address inquiries, and support a positive experience for everyone on site. In this primarily driving post, you will navigate the premises by vehicle as you monitor for any unusual activity and respond promptly to situations as they arise. Pay Rate: $18.50 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients and guests by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and responding appropriately to emergencies.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm and problem-solving manner, utilizing Allied Universal protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail or mall location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential issues.
• Observe and report any suspicious activity, hazards, or maintenance concerns encountered during patrols within the location.
• Communicate and collaborate with Allied Universal team members and location management to address security-related matters as they arise.
• Assist with access control and monitor entry and exit points as required by site-specific guidelines.
• Support emergency response activities and provide information or direction to clients, guests, and/or emergency personnel as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A valid security-related guard card or license is preferred and may be required prior to employment depending on state and/or local laws and regulations.
• A valid driver’s license is required and must meet Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
