As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in helping to maintain a secure environment within a healthcare location. Your responsibilities will include monitoring and controlling access points, conducting routine patrols throughout the premises, and being a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. You will interact with staff, visitors, and patients, providing exceptional customer service and clear communication at all times. This position requires you to utilize your attention to detail and strong interpersonal skills to address any access concerns, respond to incidents, and support the overall well-being of the location. As this is a driving post, you will also be responsible for operating a vehicle as part of your duties. Job Schedule:

What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and following site-specific policies within a healthcare environment.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials of individuals entering or exiting the location to help to deter unauthorized access.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols for healthcare settings.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter to help to deter security-related risks and identify potential issues.
• Document observations, incidents, and activities in detailed reports as required by Allied Universal and the site.
• Collaborate with staff and emergency personnel during emergency response activities, maintaining clear communication at all times.
• Follow all instructions provided by Allied Universal and site management regarding security-related procedures and protocols.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a valid driver’s license in the state where the job is located if applying for a driving position.
• A Guard Card or security-related license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
