As a Security Officer - - Armed Retail Patrol - Part Time in BRONX, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls and more .

As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a bustling retail location, you will play a vital role in helping to deter security-related incidents and fostering a welcoming environment for all visitors and staff. Your primary responsibilities will include conducting regular patrols throughout the premises, maintaining a strong and approachable presence, and responding promptly to incidents as they arise. Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $30.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergencies as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, while maintaining professionalism at all times.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and sensitive areas to help to deter theft, vandalism, or other unwanted activities.
• Assist with access control and verify credentials as needed for employees, vendors, and visitors.
• Document incidents, observations, and activities in detailed written reports according to Allied Universal standards.
• Collaborate with law enforcement or emergency services when required, following site protocols and instructions.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience, or hold a college degree.
• Possess a valid Corrections Officer License.
• Possess a valid Law Enforcement Officer License.
• An Armed Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 or older for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
