Job Description:

As a Security Guard - Media Facility Patrol - Full Time in San Jose, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom and more .

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a leading technology-focused location, you will play a key role in helping to maintain a secure environment. Your responsibilities will include conducting regular patrols throughout the premises, remaining highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and providing prompt assistance to employees, visitors, and guests. You will be expected to deliver exceptional customer service while responding to inquiries and addressing any concerns with professionalism. Job Schedule:

What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and when appropriate, participating in emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining a professional presence throughout the location.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Monitor the premises for unusual activity, reporting any observations promptly to the appropriate personnel.
• Assist with access control, verifying credentials of individuals entering the location as needed.
• Document and communicate any incidents, hazards, or maintenance needs observed during patrols.
• Support Allied Universal and client staff with security-related tasks as directed by site leadership.

• Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• A valid Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
