As a Screener with Allied Universal in a cruise operations environment, you will play a key role in supporting a secure and welcoming atmosphere for guests and staff. Your primary responsibilities will include monitoring assigned areas, conducting routine patrols, and remaining visible to help deter security-related incidents. You will interact with a diverse group of people, providing exceptional customer service while utilizing technology such as computers or tablets. Job Schedule:

What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Perform screening of passengers, crew, and visitors in accordance with site-specific procedures to help to deter prohibited items from entering the cruise operations location.
• Provide customer service by assisting guests and staff with inquiries and directions while maintaining a professional demeanor.
• Carry out security-related procedures and follow site-specific policies as directed by Allied Universal and location management.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the cruise terminal and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities and/or access.
• Monitor access points to help to deter unauthorized entry and report any suspicious activity to the appropriate authorities.
• Assist with emergency response activities as directed by Allied Universal and location protocols.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• A valid TSA issued TWIC is required.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• X-ray screening experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
