Job Description:

As a Security Officer - Chemical Site Patrol - Full Time in Texas City, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical and more .

As a Security Officer with Allied Universal at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will play a key role in maintaining a secure environment by conducting unarmed patrols across the property. Your presence helps to deter security-related incidents, and you will interact with personnel and visitors to provide exceptional customer service. In this dynamic setting, you will be responsible for monitoring access points, verifying credentials, and responding to various situations as they arise. This position also requires driving responsibilities, so a valid driver's license is necessary. Pay Rate: $16.77 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as responding to emergency situations when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols for the location.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential issues.
• Document and report any security-related incidents, suspicious activities, or hazards encountered during patrols.
• Collaborate with client personnel and Allied Universal team members to support site-specific security-related needs.
• Assist with access control procedures, monitoring entry and exit points to help to deter unauthorized access to restricted areas.
• Remain alert to environmental and operational hazards specific to a chemical or petrochemical location, reporting concerns as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Must possess a valid Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) issued by TSA.
• A valid driver’s license in the state where the job is located is required for driving positions only.
• A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
• Experience with access control and/or badge systems is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
