As a Security Professional - Access Control FT in Beaumont, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical and more .

As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will play a key role in helping to deter unwanted incidents and maintaining a secure environment for everyone onsite. In this role, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, manage entry and exit processes, and interact with employees, visitors, and contractors to provide exceptional customer service. Your responsibilities will include conducting routine patrols, verifying credentials, and responding to security-related incidents with professionalism and integrity. Job Schedule:

What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Monitor and control access to restricted areas within a chemical or petrochemical location, verifying identification and credentials of individuals entering and exiting the premises.
• Follow site-specific access control policies and procedures as directed by Allied Universal and the client site.
• Provide customer service by assisting visitors, employees, and contractors with access procedures and general inquiries.
• Respond to security-related incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating issues as necessary according to site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and identify potential security-related concerns.
• Maintain accurate records of access logs, incident reports, and daily activities as required by site procedures.
• Assist with emergency response activities, including evacuations and lockdowns, when appropriate and in accordance with site-specific guidelines.
• Communicate professionally with site personnel, visitors, and Allied Universal management regarding security-related matters and concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
• A valid TSA issued TWIC is required.
• A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
• Experience with access control and/or badge systems is preferred.
• A Guard Card or security-related license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
