As a Security Officer Chemical Access in North Chesterfield, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical and more .

As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal in a chemical and petrochemical setting, you will play a key role in helping to maintain a secure environment by monitoring and controlling access to critical areas. Your responsibilities will include conducting routine patrols, remaining visible to help deter security-related incidents, and verifying credentials to support authorized entry. You will also interact with employees, visitors, and contractors, providing exceptional customer service and clear communication. This role requires attention to detail and a proactive approach, as you help to protect people and property in a dynamic location. Pay Rate: $17.85 / Hour

Thur02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
Fri02:00 PM - 10:00 PM

What You’ll Do:

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and control access to the location, verifying credentials and granting entry to authorized personnel and visitors in accordance with site-specific protocols.
  • Assist with the implementation of security-related procedures tailored to chemical and petrochemical environments, remaining attentive to potential hazards.
  • Provide customer service by addressing inquiries and guiding employees and visitors as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the premises and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and observe for unusual conditions.
  • Document and report any security-related incidents, observations, or concerns according to company and client procedures.
  • Collaborate with Allied Universal team members and site representatives to support a secure environment at the location.

Minimum Requirements:

  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Experience with access control or badge systems is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
