As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in maintaining a secure environment at a chemical and petrochemical location. Your primary responsibilities will include monitoring access points, verifying credentials, and conducting routine patrols throughout the facility to help deter security-related incidents. You will interact with visitors, contractors, and employees, providing excellent customer service and clear communication while supporting the overall security-related operations of the site. Job Schedule:

What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Monitor and control access to the location, verifying identification and credentials of individuals entering or exiting the premises to help to deter unauthorized entry.
• Follow site-specific policies and procedures related to access control and security-related activities.
• Provide customer service by assisting visitors, employees, and contractors with access-related inquiries and directions.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols for chemical and petrochemical environments.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities and report any unusual situations.
• Document and report all access control activities, incidents, and observations according to Allied Universal and client requirements.
• Collaborate with site personnel and emergency responders when appropriate, supporting emergency response activities as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
