As a Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a vital role in helping to deter security-related incidents at a prominent retail location. Your primary responsibilities will involve conducting routine patrols throughout the property, remaining highly visible to assist in maintaining a secure environment for customers and employees. This is a driving post, so you will be responsible for patrolling the premises by vehicle as well as on foot, as needed. You will also be expected to provide exceptional customer service, respond promptly to incidents, and communicate clearly with both the public and your team. Job Schedule:

What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as responding to emergency situations when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining a professional presence at all times.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities and/or suspicious behavior.
• Observe and report any unusual activity, property damage, or hazards encountered during patrols to the appropriate personnel.
• Assist with access control by monitoring entrances, exits, and restricted areas, ensuring only authorized individuals are permitted entry.
• Offer assistance and direction to visitors, customers, and employees as needed, providing a welcoming and approachable presence.
• Support Allied Universal management and site leadership by following all post orders and instructions relevant to the retail environment.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions and must meet Allied Universal Driver Policy requirements; this applies primarily to driving posts.
• Possession of a Security Professional Guard Card is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Applicants should be comfortable using a computer or tablet, which is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
