As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in supporting security-related operations at a dynamic logistics and distribution location. Your responsibilities will include monitoring entry and exit points, verifying credentials, and conducting routine patrols to help to deter unauthorized access and incidents. You will interact with visitors, employees, and delivery personnel, providing outstanding customer service and clear communication while maintaining a visible presence. This position requires comfort with technology, as you may use computers or tablets to log activities and manage access control systems. As this is a driving post, a valid driver's license in the job state is required. Job Schedule:

What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Monitor and control access to the logistics and distribution location, verifying credentials and authorizations for entry and exit.
• Provide customer service by assisting visitors, employees, and delivery personnel with access-related inquiries and procedures.
• Carry out security-related procedures and follow site-specific policies to help maintain a secure environment.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Document and report any irregularities, security-related incidents, or unusual circumstances to the appropriate personnel.
• Support emergency response activities as needed, including assisting with evacuations or other site-specific emergency protocols.

Minimum Requirements:

• Valid driver's license required for driving positions only.
• X-ray screening experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control or badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
