As a Security Officer - Hospital Dispatch in Walnut Creek, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare and more .

As a Dispatch Officer with Allied Universal in a healthcare setting, you will play a crucial role in supporting a secure environment for patients, staff, and visitors. Your responsibilities will include monitoring and coordinating security-related communications, responding promptly to incidents, and dispatching officers as needed throughout the hospital. You will utilize communication tools and technology to help to deter incidents and provide timely information to the security team. This position requires strong customer service skills, as you will interact with a diverse range of individuals and provide clear, calm assistance during routine and emergency situations. Job Schedule:

What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Monitor and operate communication systems to dispatch security-related personnel and resources as needed within the healthcare location.
• Receive and document calls for service, incidents, and emergencies, maintaining accurate records and logs.
• Coordinate with on-site security-related staff to respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Provide customer service by communicating clearly and professionally with staff, visitors, and/or patients regarding security-related procedures and site-specific policies.
• Assist in the implementation of emergency response activities, following established protocols for the healthcare environment.
• Relay important information to appropriate personnel and/or emergency services as required.
• Support regular and random patrols by maintaining communication with patrolling staff and tracking their status.
• Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information encountered during dispatch operations.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must meet all hospital requirements for vaccinations.
• Must be able to restrain individuals as required in a hospital environment.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
