As a Security Officer - Healthcare Site - Weekdays in Fredericksburg, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare and more .

As a Security Professional specializing in access control within a healthcare location, you will play a key role in helping to maintain a secure environment for staff, patients, and visitors. Your responsibilities will include monitoring entry points, verifying credentials, and managing badge access to help to deter unauthorized entry. You will conduct routine patrols throughout the facility, remain highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and provide exceptional customer service to everyone you encounter. Your ability to communicate clearly and respond promptly to situations will be essential in supporting a welcoming and orderly atmosphere. Job Schedule:

What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
• Monitor and control access to the premises, verifying credentials and authorizations for entry to help to deter unauthorized access.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols for healthcare environments.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter to help to deter potential security-related concerns and identify any unusual activity.
• Document and report all incidents, observations, and activities as required by site-specific policies and Allied Universal procedures.
• Collaborate with staff and visitors to address questions or concerns related to access control and security-related matters.
• Support emergency response efforts, including assisting with evacuations or lockdowns as directed by site leadership or emergency personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
• Experience with access control and/or badge systems is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
