Job Description:

As a Security Officer - Armed Driver in Edinburgh, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government and more .

As a valued member of the Allied Universal team, you will play a key role in helping to maintain a secure environment at a government location. In this patrol armed position, you will conduct regular patrols throughout the premises, remaining highly visible to help deter security-related incidents and provide peace of mind to those on site. Your responsibilities will include monitoring for unusual activity, responding to incidents, and delivering exceptional customer service through clear communication and a professional presence. This role requires you to be armed and to operate a vehicle as part of your patrol duties, so a valid driver's license and the appropriate permits are necessary. Job Schedule:

What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Monitor for unusual activity and report any security-related incidents according to established protocols.
• Interact with visitors, staff, and/or personnel in a courteous and professional manner while upholding site-specific requirements.
• Maintain awareness of surroundings and follow all instructions provided by Allied Universal and site leadership.
• Support emergency response efforts as directed, including assisting with evacuations or lockdowns if required.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid concealed carry weapons permit is required.
• A valid driver’s license is required that meets the requirements of the job state and Allied Universal driver policy requirements for driving positions.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
