As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal in a healthcare setting, you will play a key role in helping to maintain a secure environment for staff, patients, and visitors. Your responsibilities will include monitoring entry points, verifying credentials, and managing badge access to help to deter unauthorized access and security-related incidents. You will conduct routine patrols throughout the location, remain highly visible, and provide exceptional customer service while responding to inquiries and assisting individuals as needed. This position requires a valid driver's license in the job state, as you may be required to operate a vehicle as part of your duties. Job Schedule:

What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Monitor and control access to the healthcare facility, verifying identification and credentials of individuals entering the premises.
• Assist visitors, patients, and staff with directions and information while maintaining a professional and courteous demeanor.
• Carry out security-related procedures and follow site-specific policies to help maintain a secure environment.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity.
• Document and report any security-related incidents, hazards, or unusual occurrences as required by site procedures.
• Support emergency response activities as directed, including assisting with evacuations and/or lockdowns when necessary.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid driver’s license in the state where the job is located is required for driving positions.
• A Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
