As a Security Officer – Educational Facility Patrol - Full Time in Lafayette, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education and more .

As a Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in helping to maintain a secure environment at an educational location. Your responsibilities will include conducting regular patrols throughout the premises, remaining visible to help deter security-related incidents, and providing outstanding customer service to all individuals on site. You will be expected to respond promptly to situations, assist with access control, and interact professionally with students, staff, and visitors. This is a driving post, so you will be required to operate a vehicle as part of your patrol duties. Job Schedule:

What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients, students, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within an educational environment.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, supporting a positive atmosphere at the location.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the campus and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns. Working environments and conditions may vary by site.
• Observe and report any unusual activity or security-related incidents to the appropriate personnel.
• Assist with access control and visitor management as required by site-specific protocols.
• Support Allied Universal and client staff during emergency situations by following established procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• A valid driver’s license is required and must meet Allied Universal Driver Policy requirements for driving positions.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
