As a Security Professional - Access Control Patrol in Newberry, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Food/Beverage and more .

As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a leading food and beverage location, you will play a key role in helping to maintain a secure environment for employees, visitors, and assets. Your responsibilities will include monitoring entry and exit points, verifying credentials, and managing badge access to help to deter unauthorized activity. You will conduct routine patrols throughout the facility, remain highly visible, and respond promptly to security-related incidents or alarms. This position values strong customer service skills, as you will interact regularly with staff and guests, providing assistance and clear communication. You will also utilize computer or tablet systems to document activities and support access control operations. Job Schedule:

What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Monitor and control access to the location, verifying credentials of employees, visitors, and contractors in accordance with site-specific policies.
• Provide customer service by assisting individuals entering or exiting the premises and addressing inquiries in a professional manner.
• Carry out security-related procedures as directed by Allied Universal and site management, adapting to the unique needs of a food and beverage production environment.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity.
• Document and report any security-related incidents, observations, or irregularities to the appropriate personnel.
• Support emergency response activities as required, maintaining communication with site management and Allied Universal supervisors.

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control or badge experience is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
