As a Security Professional - Armed Patrol Driver in Edinburgh, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government and more .

As a valued member of the Allied Universal team, you will play a key role in providing armed patrol services at a government location. Your primary responsibilities will include conducting routine patrols, maintaining a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents, and delivering outstanding customer service through clear communication and professionalism. This position requires both a concealed carry weapons permit and a valid driver's license, as you will be responsible for driving and armed duties as part of your daily activities. What You’ll Do:

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
  • Monitor for unusual activity and report observations according to established protocols.
  • Interact with visitors, staff, and/or contractors in a courteous and professional manner while upholding site-specific requirements.
  • Support Allied Universal and client leadership by following all post orders and instructions relevant to the armed patrol post.
  • Assist with access control and verify credentials as required by site policies.
  • Remain alert and prepared to respond to emergencies or incidents, including those requiring an armed response, in accordance with training and procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid concealed carry weapons permit is required.
  • A valid driver’s license is required that meets the requirements of the state where the job is located and Allied Universal driver policy requirements for driving positions only.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
